Kennington Memorial Field

Off The Avenue at the Radley end of the village of Kennington lies a field of 12½ acres of natural pasture dedicated to the memory of the six men of the village killed in the Second World War.

A committee guards the interests of the field, which is held in trust by the Oxford Preservation Trust, the aims being to ensure its retention as an area of natural beauty and peace, protected from all intrusive activities. The field is let for grazing to keep the grass in good order and support the field’s essential maintenance.
