Kennington History Society The History Society’s
June event was as promised ‘something completely different’ a visit to Iffley, first to view the village’s Norman Church where Sheila
Fairfield, Chairman of the Local History Society, told us all about the
long history of this very special building. We were then divided into
three separate groups to be taken on interesting conducted tours of the
historic village itself. The Kennington Group were
then kindly invited into the homes of three of the members of the Iffley History Society for welcome refreshments. Whilst the History
Society does not meet in July and August efforts are continuing to arrange
another trip or visit this year, during the summer - ‘Watch This Space’ An early date for your
diary Monday 20th September 2004 at 7:45pm in the Methodist
Church when Rob Kinchin-Smith &
Robert Sephton will tell us of The Paper
House at Redbridge and the man that built it. KHS events are free
to members : visitors welcome for a charge of £2.00.
